Course Description: This intensive beginner course covers basic pattern making techniques for apparel. Learn the following:

Pattern making tools and supplies
Pattern making and sewing terminology
Taking body measurements
Fabric identification and usage
Understanding pattern making for woven fabrics vs. stretch knit fabrics
Reading sewing patterns
Labeling patterns
Drafting slopers- bodice front, bodice back, skirt front, skirt back, and sleeve
Zipper installation (centered)

Final Project: Self-drafted Dress with Sleeves
(fabric and notions for final project not included)
